Global Outreach and Justice

First Church has a heart for global missions, and we have a long history of partnering with numerous missionaries who share the good news of Jesus all over the world. We currently partner with missionaries serving in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Kenya, Indonesia, Mozambique, Ecuador, India, Cameroon, and Peru. Right next door to our church building is our Mission House, which houses missionaries who are back home in the United States for long or short periods of time.

We also partner with International Needs Network to sponsor 25 children in Kibera, Kenya. These sponsorships provide children with education, Bible clubs, and support.

Local Outreach and Justice

We care deeply about connecting with our community and sharing God's love with our neighbors. Many of our church members are deeply involved with ministries in our community, such as:

  • Kids Hope mentoring at Quincy Elementary
  • Hand2Hand food ministry at Quincy Elementary
  • Feeding Our Neighbors meal preparation and delivery
  • Community Action House Food Club volunteering
  • Summer outreach events for kids and families

If you would like to get involved with any of these ministries, contact the church office at 616-772-9129 for more information.

Feeding Our Neighbors

We partner with Second Reformed Church to provide hot meals for people in our community experiencing food insecurity
